  • For his lifetime commitment and the successful implementation of his visions in the caravanning industry, Hobby founder Harald Striewski has received the German Camping Award 2023. As is tradition, the award was presented at this year’s Reise & Camping trade fair in Essen by the German Camping Club and the city of Essen. Managing Director Holger Schulz accepted the award on his behalf. He personally handed it over to Harald Striewski back at the company’s headquarters in northern Germany.

  • Hobby can reflect on a highly successful holiday exhibition in Stuttgart having received many awards for its model range and marketing campaigns. The family-friendly models in particular went down especially well with the numerous visitors to the CMT exhibition. The new 595 KML layout featuring children’s beds from the popular Maxia caravan range was also in high demand.

  • Hobby receives the DCC Safety Award 2023 during its press conference at the CMT holiday exhibition in Stuttgart. With its cosy U-shaped seating area and two single beds, the award goes to the modern and stylish MAXIA 495 UL caravan. In particular, the experts from the German Camping Club (DCC) have been blown away by how masterfully the design has been combined with an extensive range of standard equipment and safety features.

  • Fockbek, 09 January 2023 – Right on time for the CMT in Stuttgart, Hobby has announced a new layout in the popular MAXIA caravan range. The MAXIA 595 KML offers berths for up to five people (seven per optional features) and a brand-new children’s bed area. The real stand-out feature: ex-actly how the multifunctional children’s bed area is used is up to families to decide for themselves.

  • The former Hobby apprentice Frederik Bendel has been crowned the state’s best wood-worker in 2022. He received his award from the Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Schleswig-Holstein during the ceremony held at the ACO Thormanhalle in Büdelsdorf. The Minister-President Daniel Günther himself was on hand to personally present him with his certificate and a glass trophy. Out of almost 9,000 people from across the state who have completed their apprenticeships in various professions, this outstanding achievement makes Frederik Bendel one of the top 93 apprentices.

  • What will camping holidays look like in the future? This is a question that Hobby, the north German manufacturer of caravans and motorhomes, is asking itself. The caravan industry is in need of fresh and innovative ideas. The BEACHY AIR study in lightweight construction is one of them.

  • North-German caravan and mobile home manufacturer Hobby will feature at Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf where it will showcase a host of new developments, popular best sellers, and a surprising concept – all with a generous helping of “hygge”. The MAXIA product range will take centre stage with its modern Scandinavian design, its premium MAXIA VAN camper and the BEACHY AIR study as an added surprise.
