Hobby presents itself in a new hall at the CMT

Fockbek, November 2017 – “It’s been great and it’ll be even greater”. The slogan for Hobby’s 50th anniversary perfectly fits the trade fair presence of the brand at the CMT, which is taking place in Stuttgart from 13 to 21 January 2018. Because Hobby is presenting its numerous and varied season innovations in Hall 5 for the first time on a completely new trade fair stand. This means a bigger area, more space and more light, ensuring a much more intensive brand experience.

One of the highlights is without doubt the three anniversary models from the caravan series EXCELLENT. They are available as 540 UL, 560 CFe and 560 KMFe and stand out due to maximum mobile comfort and modern technology. For example, the chassis of the three anniversary models is loaded factory-fitted and is provided with the stabilisation system KNOTT ETS Plus and with the manoeuvring system “easydriver”. The 12-volt autonomy package, including charge controller with booster, battery and battery sensor, also makes the trio completely independent of any campsite infrastructure. Alloy hubcaps in silver also optically upgrade the trio from the “50 Years Anniversary Edition”.

In the motorhome sector Hobby is presenting two anniversary models from the series OPTIMA PREMIUM. These are the designs V65 GE and T70 F. Both vehicles will win friends not only with their refined design, but above all with their exclusive details. These include components such as the double-glazed and tinted frame windows, the L-seating group with column foldable table in the T70 F, the bed expansion including extra cushions and ladder in the V65 GE, the exterior  gas connector, alloy hubcaps, the gas pressure regulator TRUMA DuoControl with remote display, the high-performance SAT equipment from Kathrein, the driver seating upholstery with 50 Years of Hobby embroidery, two decorative cushions each and fleece blanket with 50 Years of Hobby signet. The V65 GE van is a model with single beds in the rear. The semi-integrated T70 F has a layout with a French double bed and luxury washroom in the rear.

Top innovations in the caravans are also the four models from the completely redesigned entry-level series ONTOUR. The exterior design now bears the unmistakeable signature of the other Hobby model series. And the ONTOUR has remained true to its tried and tested line as a compact and agile travel caravan, because all models are only 2.20 metres wide. This makes the ONTOUR the ideal companion for caravanners who want an agile trailer. Regardless of whether couples travelling together or families with children are concerned. A car from the compact class is sufficient as a towing vehicle.

Overall, the furniture of the ONTOUR has been optimised and is now equal to that of the higher-level series DE LUXE. Like all other Hobby caravans, the new ONTOUR models score with the HOBBYKOMPLETT full equipment as standard. So you’ll be ready-for-the-road from the off with everything factory-fitted. Furthermore, numerous items of equipment to increase comfort, such as electronic underfloor heating, the exclusive Blaupunkt sound system and the new TRUMA gas heating VarioHeat “Comfort” are available as an option for the ONTOUR. Of course, the ONTOUR can also use innovative Hobby Cl-BUS technology, which can control almost all the devices and functions of the on-board network via the optional TFT operating panel, also including the new gas heating VarioHeat “Comfort”.

ln the family-friendly DE-LUXE MODELS segment an extraordinary innovation is celebrating its premiere in the 2018 season: The DE LUXE 515 UHK offers not only a generously-sized children’s section with a bunk-bed in the caravan bow, but also a fold-down bed for two people above the rear round seating group. Anyone converting both seating groups in the DE LUXE 515 UHK will reach seven (4+3) berths in total. For a single-axle vehicle just 2.30 metres wide, that’s virtually record-breaking.

The elegant semi-integrateds from the OPTIMA series are in two design lines in the 2018 series as the OPTIMA DE LUXE and OPTIMA PREMIUM. Both are ready-for-the-road from the factory, because they have factory-fitted HOBBYKOMPLETT full equipment, as is typical for the brand, with a variety of high-value extras.

Customers can choose between three colour combinations for the exterior decor.

1. Cab in white plus decor colour black or grey metallic
2. Cab in black plus decor colour black
3. Cab in grey metallic plus decor grey metallic

The OPTIMA DE LUXE is graced with a smooth rear in flawless white, while the OPTIMA PREMIUM is a beauty on which the cab paintwork is coordinated with the two-tone rear section. There are other differences in the interior, with each having its own furniture decor.

A very special OPTIMA is the T65 GQ, which comes in OPTIMA DE LUXE and OPTIMA PREMIUM trim. The T65 GQ primarily shows its luxury in the rear, where a comfortable Queen-size bed can be found. The sanitary rooms are in the centre section – between the bedroom and living/dining area. Two in number, because the shower and WC/washroom are separate units in the T65 GQ. The washroom is also accessible from two sides, from the bedroom and the living area. This has the advantage that if someone wants to go to the toilet from the front, they don’t have to go through bedroom and possibly disturb their fellow traveller’s sleep.

The generous line continues with the living area in the T65 GQ. This is fitted with an L-seating group as standard. Its shape fits the connected corner kitchen perfectly. The 150-litre Super-Slim-Tower there provides nicely chilled food and drink. And if you like, the T65 GQ can also be ordered with a fold-down bed as the OPTIMA DE LUXE T65 HGQ or as the OPTIMA PREMIUM T65 HGQ.

The Hobby Motorhome Programme for the 2018 season is rounded off by the compact vans from the VANTANA series and the family-friendly alcoves from the SIESTA DE LUXE series. The VANTANA comes in four layout variants, the SIESTA DE LUXE in three versions.
