The North German company Hobby-Wohnwagenwerk Ing. Harald Striewski GmbH is re-structuring its management team. Following the decision by the shareholders not to extend Bernd Löher’s contract, Mario Ahrens took over the position of Managing Director on 1 April 2026. Mr Ahrens has been with the company since August 2025, most recently heading the Human Resources department. In a short space of time, he has already provided important momentum and helped drive key initiatives such as digitalisation and strategic development. Mario Ahrens brings extensive leadership experience and in-depth expertise, with a particular focus on HR, digitalisation and strategy. His experience in senior roles at well-known North German companies, combined with his empathetic, straightforward and direct approach, make him ideally suited to this new and demanding role. Appointing a proven HR professional to this position reflects both the requirements of a modern company of this size and the importance of the employees’ needs, as well as the need to shape a forward-looking management structure. In his new role as Managing Director, Mario Ahrens will, in addition to Human Resources, also assume responsibility for Production/Engineering and Materials Management/Logistics.

“I am delighted by the trust placed in me and welcome this new level of responsibility. Hobby is a strong company with dedicated employees and a clear market position. Together, we will continue to advance the various projects that are already underway and steer the company towards a sustainable future – with a strong focus on our employees, efficient processes and long-term growth,” said the new Managing Director, Mario Ahrens.

At the same time, Claudia Jung, Head of Materials Management and Logistics since June 2022, was granted authorised signatory status (Prokura) with effect from 1 April 2026. Over the past few years, she has played a key role in developing her area of responsibility and, in particular, in ensuring its stability during challenging market phases.

The Sales/Marketing/Aftersales divisions, along with the entire commercial function under the leadership of authorised signatory Wolfgang Fundheller, will be overseen by Managing Director Holger Schulz.
